HRMIS TSC Leave for Teachers Manual.
The teachers service commission (TSC) introduces the teachers leave module and the institutional head leave module under HRMIS.
Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) Leave Module has been intended by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) to facilitate the process of leave application and granting to both primary and post-primary teachers in Kenya.
This system is available on the portal of TSC at www.tsc.go.ke or directly by means of the HRMIS URL: hrmis.tsc.go.ke.
Teacher System Access and Login.
The teachers who want to use HRMIS Leave Module must go through a systematic procedure of logging in. The first access will be to open an appropriate web browser like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox and go to the HRMIS portal.
The teachers will be required to use TSC Number, National Identification Number and registered mobile number.
When it is submitted, a six-digit authorization code is sent to the mobile device of the teacher, which needs to be typed in order to fulfill the process of the log-in.
After log-in, the system determines the user as primary or post-primary teacher. Teachers will be able to start a leave request by clicking on the +Submit button.
They must select their type of leave, fill their all the necessary fields and must submit by clicking on ok.
Teachers may also be able to add supportive materials where appropriate by clicking the attachment icon and selecting the file required as well as ensuring the declaration box is checked and the upload is confirmed.
When it is completed, the leave application should be shown in the system interface where it can be checked and kept.
Head of Institution (HOI) Process of Recommendation.
An approval workflow is also provided in the HRMIS Leave Module using the Head of Institution (HOI) Portal.
The leaders of the institutions are able to enter the system through the same HRMIS login process. On entering their credentials and authorization code, HOIs can also access pending leave applications.
Their recommendations include the option of choosing the pen icon in the View/Edit column, typing in the respective remarks, marking the declaration box and making sure that the documents attached are correct.
After the recommendation process has been done, the HOI logs out of the system to facilitate the secrecy of the session.
Documentation and regulatory Compliance.
TSC focuses on the rigidity of documentation standards in the HRMIS Leave Module. Any leaves that need evidence to be submitted should be uploaded into the file upload interface in the system.
The teachers and HOIs must confirm the presence of attachments and declarations before they can submit them finally to verify that they were in accordance with the Commission protocols.
The HRMIS Leave Module is aimed at increasing efficiency, accountability, and transparency in managing the leave procedures in all the public primary and secondary schools that are under the Teachers Service Commission.
The organized process of logging in, submitting leave and recommendations makes the system workflow have a standard process of leaves requests and have secure digital records.
