Headteacher (Primary and Junior School) in Syokimau

Globalhunt Associates Ltd is recruiting, on behalf of its client, a visionary, dedicated and results-oriented Headteacher to lead the Primary and Junior School of a reputable and growing private school in Syokimau.

The successful candidate will provide overall leadership of the school, uphold high standards of teaching and learning, and drive enrolment and school growth. Applicants must be TSC-registered with a B.Ed, at least 8 years of primary teaching experience (including 3 years in senior leadership) and practical knowledge of the Competency-Based Education (CBE). • Provide overall leadership and management of the Primary and Junior School
• Implement the curriculum and uphold high standards of teaching and learning
• Ensure discipline, learner welfare and a safe, positive learning environment
• Mentor and develop teachers and staff
• Build strong relationships with parents, the community and key stakeholders
• Drive enrolment and school growth initiatives

• Registration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) with a valid TSC number
• Strong, visionary and ethical leadership with high integrity
• Proven ability to maintain discipline and a positive school culture
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with parents and stakeholders
• Sound planning, organisational and resource-management skills
• Computer literate and able to use data to drive decisions
• Training in, and practical knowledge of, the Competency-Based Education (CBE)
• Good working knowledge of the Basic Education Act, the TSC Code of Conduct and child-protection guidelines

• Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) from a recognised institution
• A Master’s degree in Education Leadership, Management or a related field is an added advantage
• A Diploma or Certificate in Education is an added advantage

At least 8 years of teaching experience at primary level, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership role (Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher or Senior Teacher).
