Editorial Policy and Corrections

How we source, write and correct what we publish.

Last updated: 13 October 2026

What we cover

Teachers Updates publishes education news and practical guides for teachers in Kenya, including updates from the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) and the Ministry of Education.

How we source our stories

Wherever an official notice, circular or portal announcement exists, we base our report on it. When a story relies on another outlet's reporting, we credit that source.

Dates and updates

Every article shows when it was published. Some topics change often, such as deadlines, portal steps and salary scales. If you find information that is out of date, please tell us so we can review it.

Planning tools and downloadable resources

Our resources and planning tools are there to help you prepare. Always check them against the official curriculum design and your school's requirements before using them in class.

Advertising

Advertising on the site is kept separate from our reporting. To advertise with us, see the Advertise with us page.

Jobs, swaps and tutor listings

Vacancies, swap requests and teacher profiles are submitted by users and organisations, and we cannot guarantee them. Never pay money to secure a job, an interview or a transfer. If a listing looks suspicious, report it to [email protected].

Corrections

If you spot a mistake in an article, email [email protected] with the link to the article and what needs fixing. We review every report, and when we confirm an error we correct it.
