Female Sports Teacher at Jaffery Academy Mombasa

Jaffery Academy Mombasa invites applications from qualified and motivated professionals for the position of Sports Teacher, starting in January 2027. The teacher will deliver Physical Education and swimming lessons from Nursery to Senior School, coach school teams and organise sports events.

• Plan and deliver quality Physical Education and swimming lessons from Nursery to Senior School, including Pearson Edexcel IGCSE PE
• Plan and run coaching sessions for school teams in core sports, and mentor students for inter-school competitions
• Organise, coordinate and supervise sports fixtures, girls’ competitions, swimming galas and other sports events
• Lead school clubs or movements
• Carry out assigned administrative and pastoral duties

• Registered with the TSC
• Strong athletic ability, plus team coordination and student coaching skills
• Good organisation, planning and teamwork skills
• Comfortable keeping records digitally
• Good spoken and written communication
• Willingness to take an active part in school sports and co-curricular events
• Selected candidates must have a valid certificate of good conduct and undergo a background check

Added advantage:

• Experience teaching IGCSE PE
• Experience managing school sports teams
• Coaching certification in football, swimming, netball, hockey, badminton or table tennis

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Sports, or Sport Science
• Registration with the TSC

3–5 years’ experience in an international school.
