Top KCSE 2021 Jariel Obura Wants To Be A Doctor.The 2021 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination (KCSE) top candidate, Jariel Ndeda Obura, has spoken out about his performance in the national exams.Obura, who attended Mang’u High School, received a perfect score of 87.167 points. He credited his outstanding performance to constant revision and practice.He explained that by balancing all of his subjects, he was able to come out on top in the 2021 KCSE exams.“I have always put efforts in my studies. When I heard that I was Kenya one (top student), I was overjoyed,” Obura stated.Despite his excellent performance, Obura noted that competition was fierce at Mang’u High School and that he was not always the top student in his class.He was caught off guard when his fellow candidates called to inform him that Education Cabinet Secretary, George Magoha, had named him the best student during the announcement made at the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) headquarters on Saturday, April 23.In contrast to other top students who plan to attend top universities such as Nairobi University and Kenyatta University, Obura stated that he wants to attend Maseno University and study medicine.The KCSE top student stated that his interest in science subjects influenced his decision to pursue medicine.“I have always wanted to pursue medicine.
