Student Killed After Butchering Mother in Kisii
On Tuesday, a high school student ran wild and hacked his mother before enraged villagers killed him with boulders.
76-year-old Clemensia Getonto was on her farm in the Raganga district of Mosocho, Kitutu Chache South when her son attacked her with a machete and killed her instantly.
Family members tried to stop an altercation between the suspect, 20-year-old Sebastian Mbae, but things didn’t work out well.
The murder suspect was a high school candidate. He was at home for the September holiday.
According to reports, Mbae had a history of mental illness and frequently harassed other family members during such moments.
On Tuesday, the student nearly got into a fight with his aunt, who locked him out of the house to avoid his wrath.
“That is the time the woman who was in the farm heard about the commotion and returned to try to calm him down.
“Instead of calming he turned on her killing her on the spot before irate villagers stoned him to death as he attempted to flee,” Raganga chief Simeon Omweri said.
The autopsies were conducted at the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital.
