Form One Selection To Be Done In 2 weeks.
According to Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha, Form One selection will take place within the next two weeks.
Prof. Magoha has directed Education officials to ensure that the exercise is completed within the timeframes specified.
“So when you leave here, don’t go and sleep until the selection exercise is completed,” said Magoha when he released KCPE exam results in Nairobi yesterday.
A total of 1,214,031 candidates took the exam, and all of them are expected to enroll in secondary school.
According to the results, more students qualified to attend national schools than the previous year. In 2020, 8,091 candidates received between 400 and 500 points. The number increased to 11,857 in the 2021 exam.
“The ministry has put in place measures to ensure the selection is conducted as soon as possible to ensure the candidates join Form One soonest possible given that the next academic year is heavily shortened,” said Magoha.
