KCSE Results Release Date Announced.
Principal Secretary of Education Belio Kipsang declared that the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results for the year 2022 would be revealed on January 23, 2023.
On Friday, December 23, he declared in Nairobi County that the government had already devised a plan to ensure that the results are released before schools reopen.
He said that a number of teachers were engaged in the process of grading the tests, which concluded on Friday.
“As we mark the end of the national examinations 2022 cycle today, all the examination handlers and examiners will have a busy Christmas as the marking of KCSE 2022 will start immediately,” he stated.
Concerning Form One placement, the PS suggested that candidates for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) in 2022 will learn their high school assignments on January 16, 2023.
He assured the students that there would be no discrimination and that the process would be transparent.
“We want to assure all parents, guardians and learners that we shall be transparent, fair and we shall do the right thing for each child to get a school that they chose and deserve to be there,” he stated
David Njeng’ere, the CEO of the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC), stated that the organization had been fair in grading the KCPE and that the same will be done for the KCSE pupils.
“We are committed to ensuring whatever marks our children get is exactly what is extracted from the answer sheet.
“Our examiners will work with diligence to ensure our children get what they deserve as they have done their part to give their best,” Kipsang echoed.
Education CS Ezekiel Machogu announced the 2022 KCPE results on Wednesday, December 21.
Lewis Otieno Omondi and Fwaro Makokha were the top pupils, each receiving 431 marks.
