ROLE SUMMARY

The School Administrator is responsible for ensuring that the operations of the school promote and support effective teaching and learning. This includes providing high-level advice to the leadership team on all matters related to the implementation of the curriculum, the relevant education regulations, and the effective management of the school and the stakeholders at large.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as the contact person for all stakeholders including walk-in customers;

• Maintain communication with parents through face-to-face interaction, telephone and email;

• Conducting business reviews to ensure clients are satisfied with our services;

• Create plans to address clients’ business needs;

• Act as a point of contact for complaints and escalate issues as appropriate;

• Respond to queries on the school from current and prospective parents;

• Responsible for school communication including the school phone, email, social media etc.;

• Assume responsibility for communication with staff on all matters related to school coordination and organization;

• Respond to student crisis and emergencies;

• Come up with creative ideas for marketing the school;Page 2 of 2

• Together with the HR department, liaise with new staff to monitor their wellbeing and to arrange for appropriate development and support as required;

• Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of policies, systems and processes to ensure the highly effective operation of the school;

• Ensure coverage of classes and the effective implementation of the curriculum daily;

• Coordinate special events arrangements such as the end of year/term activities, parent’s engagement etc.

• Arrangement and coordination of interviews for prospective learners;

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Interested applicant should meet the following minimum requirements:

• Previous experience in a busy school setup is a MUST;

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar or a closely related role;

• A Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration, Education, Sales & Marketing or a relevant Business course;

• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse staff;

• Strong organizational skills;

• Excellent oral and written communication;

• Ability to perform and multi-task in a highly energized work environment;

• Proficiency in MS office;

• A customer-oriented attitude;

• Must have fluency in both oral and written English and Swahili;

• Excellent interpersonal skills.
