CUE Seeks New CEO As Ntarangwi Exits.

Prof Mwenda Ntarangwi’s term ends on September 4, thus the university regulator is looking for a new chief executive.

The Commission on University Education (CUE) has issued a call for candidates for the position.

On September 6, 2017, Ntarangwi was appointed to the office for a five-year tenure. He succeeded Prof David Kimutai Some, who had been in charge since 2012.

Candidates should apply by June 2 if they are qualified for the role.

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) Board, which is made up of 13 members chosen under the Universities Act of 2012, houses the commission’s CEO.

Regulation process

He oversees the supervision of the university education sector, including the establishment of effective administrative structures, processes, and systems, as well as the commission’s management structure, which includes succession planning.

The Commission for University Education (CUE) is the successor to the Commission for Higher Education, which was formed by an Act of Parliament (CHE).

It was founded to provide measures for the growth of high-quality university education, which includes, among other things, regulating and certifying universities and university academic programs.
