Teachers Service Commission Requires All Employees to File Individual Income Tax Returns
In compliance with the Income Tax Act, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has issued a circular requiring all its employees to file their individual income tax returns for the year 2022 by 30th June 2023.
The TSC has mandated that all employees file their returns through the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) online iTax platform, which can be accessed via https://itax.kra.go.ke.
To facilitate the filing of returns, the TSC has advised employees to download their Tax Deduction Cards (P9 Forms) on the TSC T-pay portal.
Employees who experience challenges in filing their returns can seek assistance from the TSC Accounts Division (PAYE Section) through various contacts, including (020) 289-2000 Ext: 2401/2382 or 0722 208 552/0777 208 552. Additionally, employees can email the TSC at [email protected] for further assistance.

The Secretary/Chief Executive of the TSC, Dr. Nancy Njeri Machari, CBS, has urged all TSC employees to comply with the circular and file their individual income tax returns for the year 2022 by the 30th of June 2023.
Failure to comply with the circular may result in penalties imposed by the KRA.
