Teacher Fisted By Boys in Compromising Situation With Female Students
Following a fistfight between students from two schools in Transmara, Narok county, two students have been admitted to a Kilgoris hospital.
The students were part of a group of five schools who had gathered at Poroko Secondary School for a live set books performance before the show devolved into acrimony and full-fledged ‘vawulence.’
When the teacher on duty, Fred Machokaa, noticed some boys from Kilgoris Boys School in a compromising situation with one of his female students, trouble began.
When he urged them to disperse, the agitated boys descended on him with blows and kicks, prompting Poroko students to come to his aid.
As a result, students from the visiting school began throwing plastic chairs, rocks, and a slew of other projectiles at their hosts, causing chaos that resulted in three students being seriously injured and property worth an unknown amount being destroyed.
Two students with head, neck, and chest injuries were admitted to a private hospital in Nyangusi in fair condition, while a third was treated and discharged from Kilgoris sub-county hospital in fair condition.
The three young men ranged in age from 18 to 21.
During the 5 p.m. incident, police officers based at Kilgoris police station struggled to control the riotous students who destroyed Poroko’s school bus, window panes in one of the dormitories, and plastic chairs.
The incident is still being investigated.
Meanwhile, students are advised to be mindful of the sacrifices that their parents are making in order for them to remain in school and receive the best education possible in the current economic climate.
