Study Abroad: Ministry Announces 200 Scholarships to Europe; How to Apply
The Ministry of Education has announced 200 study-abroad scholarships in Hungary for qualified Kenyans.
The Hungarian government supported the scholarship, according to a statement published on the ministry’s website on Friday, November 11.
According to the ministry, the scholarships are intended for students pursuing bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, and one-tier master’s degrees.

The grant is accessible to undergraduate students in the following disciplines of study: Agricultural Science, Computer Science and Information Technology, Legal Science, Economic Science, Engineering Science, Medical and Health Science, and Natural Science.
Master’s degrees in Agricultural Science, Computer Science and Information Technology, Legal Science, Economic Science, Engineering Science, Medical and Health Science, and Natural Science will be considered.
The doctoral program is open to students with any field of study interest, whereas the master’s program is open to students who choose to follow a medical-related course.
To qualify for the Scholarship, you must:
- If you are from one of the qualified nations, you may apply.
- To apply for a bachelor’s degree, you must have a certificate of secondary school completion.
- Additionally, you should have a stellar academic record.
- Master’s degree candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree.
- Candidates must possess a master’s degree to be eligible for a doctorate.
- The sending/home university must offer you a certificate of student status if you apply to a non-degree or single-tier program.

If your application is accepted, the scholarship will pay for your tuition and help with your housing if you live in a hostel.
Additionally, the university will provide health insurance and a monthly stipend.
To be eligible for the undergraduate program, you must have earned at least a B on the KCSE and have graduated from college within the previous three years. Additionally, you cannot be older than 25 years old.
You must have a bachelor’s degree with an upper-second-class honors grade for postgraduate study.
For a doctoral degree, you must hold a relevant master’s degree.
The deadline for online application submission to the Tempus Public Foundation is January 16, 2023. (2 pm Central European Time).
