Kisii High School Principal Travels To Village To Pick Up Student Who Could Not Afford Fees.
Kisii High School has welcomed a new student who was unsure whether he would attend the school because he couldn’t afford the fees.
This was made possible by the principal, Fred Mogaka, and his deputy, Henry Mosioma, who went out of their way to find him and offer him a Form One slot for free.
The boy had missed school because his father had died and his mother was ill, leaving him unable to pay for his education.
The student from Oganda Primary School was chosen to attend Kisii School but did not report because his mother is ill and he does not have a father to pay his school fees.
Mogaka and Mosioma tracked him down and accepted him into Form One at their school.
Philanthropist Wanja Mwaura was among those who praised Kisii High School principal Fred Mogaka and his deputy Henry Mosioma on social media.
The praise was given because the two tutors traveled to the village to pick the student who received 379 points in the Kenya Certificate of Primary School but had yet to begin Form One.

Wanja expressed her admiration for the educator, saying she has interacted with him several times and can attest to his enthusiasm for his work.
“His passion for his students is so great. Kenya needs such passionate principals. I thank God for this great man,” she said.
Wanja went on to say that what the two administrators did exemplifies the true meaning of being your brother’s keeper.

Elswhere, Lawrence Murimi finally enrolled in Kangaru High School a day after being rejected along with his mother.
The poor mother and her son had brought a rooster to school in the hopes that the administration would accept it because they did not have school fees.
Fortunately, the young lad’s story went viral, touching the hearts of well-wishers who rallied to his aid and raised enough money to cover his school fees.
