As William Ruto prepares to assume power on Tuesday, September 13, his family will be at the forefront of the political world.
His family has thus far avoided the public limelight and kept their private lives under wraps.
Ruto’s children have only attended a handful of public events, the most recent being the press briefing at Ruto’s Karen mansion mere minutes after the Supreme Court ruling.
Nick Ruto, the eldest son of the DP, is viewed as the symbolic heir to the hustler kingdom.
Many critics and commentators believe he is best qualified to assume the mantle once his father hangs up his boots; hence, all eyes will be on Nick’s next move.
Nick graduated from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA), earning a Bachelor of Law.
Later, he attended the Kenya School of Law, where Chief Justice David Maraga admitted him to the bar in February 2019.
Charleen Chelagat Ruto, the DP’s second-born daughter, graduated from Daystar University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication.
At the time, the president-elect praised his daughter’s monumental accomplishment.
Charlene is a director of the Weston Hotel in Lang’ata, Nairobi.
Stephanie Jepchumba Ruto earned a law degree from Strathmore University in June 2019. Ruto, who attended her daughter’s graduation, praised her for her professionalism and dedication.
June Ruto received her Bachelor of Arts in Diplomacy from the United States International University in Nairobi.
