Nova Pioneer seeks a rockstar Apprentice Junior Secondary Performing Arts Teacher to begin in January 2023 as we launch our Junior Secondary School Campus and serve part-time at Eldoret Boarding Schools.

The Role
The role’s primary tasks include:
Teaching the field of expertise, namely Music and Drama.
Maintain favorable, constructive, and professional relationships with students, their families, and colleagues.
Develop lesson ideas and collaborate with the Learning Design Team to review and revise lessons as necessary/requested.
Enhance a classroom climate that is favorable to learning, is developmentally suitable for the maturity and interests of the students, and is orderly and focused on learning.
Infuse enthusiasm and enthusiasm for learning into lessons so that students are excited and interested in academic accomplishment.
Provide all students with the academic and cultural accommodations and adaptations essential for their development and success.
Be responsible for pupils’ topic mastery and adherence to academic standards.
Enhance educational delivery by incorporating interactive technologies into lessons.
Set and express tough and ambitious goals for all students, and provide effective student feedback to ensure that they understand these objectives.
Provide constant rewards and/or sanctions for student behavior and always demonstrate the desired conduct for students to imitate.
Consistently achieve a rapidly expanding organization’s lofty objectives.
Serve as a teacher on duty and/or boarding teacher on duty, and provide assistance for school-wide programs geared at behaviour interventions.
When requested, timely collection of student data on academic outcomes and communication of student progress to NP families and other stakeholders.
Support clubs, groups, and other extracurricular activities at the school that aim to develop well-rounded students.
Serve as a homeroom teacher when requested to do so.
Personal
Required Knowledge and Abilities:
You have a TSC certificate and a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Education in order to teach Art.
Have 1-2 years of experience as a teacher.
You are proficient with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Fantastic communicator. You have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing.
Adaptable and accepting of change; you handle uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity effectively.
You are a problem solver; you are proactive in detecting problems and addressing them comprehensively by making an attempt to find suitable solutions.
Enthusiastic about our organizational culture, and in particular, you are eager to challenge yourself by embracing reciprocal vulnerability and a constant stream of criticism.
You aspire to develop your leadership skills further and apply them to transforming the lives of African kids.

The purpose of the telephone interview is to gain a deeper understanding of your talents and expertise.
You will complete a written task or a performance relating to the position for which you are applying as a demonstration of your abilities.
Teachers are required to take a test and teach a lesson.
You will have one last conversation with the hiring manager before a choice is made.
