Magoha admits one million masks deficit ahead of schools reopening on Monday

Education Cabinet Secretary Professor George Magoha on Monday revealed that his ministry is having a shortage of one million face masks meant to be given to learners from disadvantaged settings upon resumption of learning next week on Monday.

“Out of the three million children identified by the government, we have already supplied close to one million to Grade Four, Eight and Form Four candidates who reported to schools, while Rivatex has already given us another one million,” he revealed.

While touring schools in Nyanza Region, Kisumu County on Monday, the Education pledged that the state would do everything to bridge the gap. He urged parents who can manage to buy masks for their children to do so.
