KUCCPS Accuse Teachers of pocketing students registration fees for placement
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has expressed worry over certain teachers’ refusal to forward money for student placement to appropriate higher education institutions.
According to CEO Dr. Agnes Mercy Wahome, some teachers are pocketing the 500 shillings money provided by pupils for the exercise, resulting in some students being denied admission to colleges and universities.
KUCCPS is currently accepting applications from Kenyans for placement at public National Polytechnics, Technical Training Institutes, and Technical and Vocational Training Colleges.
According to Dr. Wahome, students enrolled in these institutes will be partially supported by the government.
The CEO declared that discrimination and stigma connected with lower grades will be removed under the hashtag “Leaving No Candidate Behind.”
The application procedure can be found on the KUCCPS website or at the Nairobi (GPO), Mombasa, Kisumu, Nyeri, Garissa, Kitui, Eldoret, Kakamega, Meru, and Kitale service desks.
Thika, Isiolo, Narok, Laikipia, and Nakuru all have the service.
