Government Purchase Sanitary Towels For Girls As Amisom Donates Desks To Students.

CS Education Prof. George Magoha says the government has purchased sanitary towels for girls in public Primary schools to sustain them for nine months.







Magoha said this while assessing the resumption of learning at Muchonoke Secondary School in Embu County.

Principal Secretary, State Department for East African Community and Chairman, Social & Political Vision 2030 Board Dr Kevit Desai on Friday concluded an assessment to the learning environment in schools across Kisii, Nyamira and Migori Counties in regards to the Health protocols.




“The Government is fully behind you, let’s all cooperate and collaborate in combating this pandemic whereas we ensure learning continues,” EAC Kevit Desai said while issuing face masks in Sony High School, Migori County.

The PSs encouraged Matongo Secondary School, Kisii students to support teachers in ensuring their peers always had their masks on and maintained social distance while in school; “Let’s be our brother’s keeper as we jointly protect each other “, PS said.




He lauded teachers and learners for improving in adhering to Covid-19 protocols. “We’ve noted significant efforts by the students and the administration in adherence to the Covid-19 Health Protocols, we urge you to uphold this spirit, we all shall surmount.” He said while at Kehancha Secondary School in Kuria.




KDF’s 1 Mechanized Infantry Battalion (1MIB) serving under AMISOM donated foodstuffs, medical supplies to Elwak District Hospital and also 36 desks to students of Harweyn Primary School in Elwak-Somalia district.

Multi-Agency security teams accompanied the Principle Secretary for Trade and County Education officials on a mission to evaluate the return to school program in the Boni enclave. They visited Mararani, Mangai, Basuba, Milimani and Kiangwe Primary schools.
