ABC Kiseveni Secondary School, Machakos principal has this morning been arrested for allegedly leaking Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination.
The teacher is said to have uploaded a KCSE exam paper on her Whatsapp status a day before the actual exam for the candidates to study overnight ahead of sitting for the actual exam on Tuesday.
Area Director of Criminal Investigation (DCI) boss, Rhodah Kanyi, has confirmed the incident.
There have been several cases of exam cheating this year despite CS for Education denying it earlier. The CS had called upon parents to be on the lookout for people selling fake examination papers to students urging them to fully support their children during the examination period.
“Our examinations have not leaked and they will not leak. Only genuine revision and what the students can remember will be taken into account. A businessman has been arrested in Kericho County selling such fake papers,” he said on Thursday.
