Needy Homa Bay Pupils Appeals For Fees Support

Two bright needy students from Homa-Bay County are pleading with well-wishers to help them attend secondary school.

Ebby Atieno from Kamasi Primary School received 376 points, and Koffi Anan from Agoro Sare Primary School received 362 points. Ebby was chosen to attend Asumbi Girls National School, but she is still at home.

Caroline Awuor, a peasant farmer and resident of West Kanyatodo in Ndhiwa Sub-county, said she could not afford the Sh71, 000 required for her daughter’s admission to the school.

“I have tried all possible means but I failed. I am still stranded with my daughter at home. I appeal to well-wishers to come to my aid,” Awuor said.

Ebby, 14, begged well-wishers to assist her in achieving her dream of becoming a medical doctor.

Koffi Anan, on the other hand, was invited to Ratang’a Boys Secondary School in Ndhiwa Sub-county but has yet to enroll due to his parents’ inability to pay school fees.

Erick Mulanga, a resident of South Alego in Siaya County, said he tried every possible avenue to raise the Sh56, 000 required for Ratang’a boys but was unsuccessful.
