Narok County Partners with Japan to Improve Schools Infrastructure

The Narok County Government has expressed gratitude to the Japanese Government for their contribution towards improving the infrastructure in most schools in the region.

The Deputy Governor of Narok County, Tamalinye Koech, spoke at Simwotet Secondary School in Transmara East where he received projects worth Sh12.5 million sponsored by the Japanese Government.

He stated that the close working relationship between the two administrations would be strengthened for the benefit of future generations.

Tamalinye was optimistic that the infrastructure would uplift the standards of education in the region, and he reiterated the government’s commitment to collaborating with like-minded partners for the sake of development.

The Deputy Governor thanked the Japanese Government for their generosity, which resulted in Simwotet Primary and Secondary schools receiving six modern classrooms, three consultation rooms, a dormitory, ablution blocks, and water tanks.

He stated that this investment would go a long way in eradicating poverty and ignorance.

The Japanese delegation was led by Nishimura Masaya, the Second Secretary of the Economic Affairs and Co-operation Section.

Masaya praised the good working relationships between the Japanese Government, the Kenyan Government, and devolved units. He reiterated the Japanese Government’s desire to see education uplifted and improved.
