MASTER OF SCIENCE (RECORDS MANAGEMENT AND ARCHIVES ADMINISTRATION) Kenyatta University Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements

The common regulations for the master’s degree of Kenyatta University shall apply.

i. A holder of a Bachelor of Education Degree in the related field, with at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) or equivalent from Kenyatta University or any recognized institution.

ii. Those with Second Class (Lower Division) may be considered on condition that they

have Grade “C” and above in units relevant to their areas of specialization.

Duration and Pattern

Students taking this degree shall follow a course of study for a minimum period of 18 months. The programme will consist of a total of eighteen units. Students opting to do a project as part of their requirements will take a total of ten core units, four electives and the project which will be equated to 4 units. Students opting to do a thesis as part of their requirements will take a total of eight core units, two electives and the thesis which will be equated to 8 units.

Examination

Common university regulations concerning examination at the master’s level shall apply.
