Little Know Nyambaria High school has shocked many with its high quality results in the just-announced Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
The Nyamira-based school has a mean score of 10.8975 beating top giants like Kapsabet Boys(10.76 2), Kenya High (10.74 3) Alliance Boys and (10.694 4).
The school has 28 A (plain), 383 A-, 76B+, and only one B-. None of the student got below B minus.
Other giants outshined by Nyambaria boys include Kabarak High (10.64 5) Moi Girls Eldoret (10.53 6), Alliance Girls (10.52 7) and St. Bridgit’s Girls (10.50).
Another little-known school Cardinal Otunga High School, Mosocho also defeated top national schools by earning a mean of 10.76.
Nyambaria Boys High School was founded in 1966 as a small school with little facilities, but it has evolved into a major institution in the region.
According to Felix Onderi Oyaro alumnus of the school, the SDA school is based on strong Christian values hence no studying on Saturday because it is a holy day.
During the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, Nyambaria Boys High School has consistently posted good results, with over 70% of pupils qualifying for university with a minimum university admission of C+.
