Teachers Mourning The Death Of Renson Mokaya, KUPPET Vice-chairman of Nyamira
Teachers in Nyamira County are mourning the untimely death of Renson Mokaya, who was Vice-Chair of the Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (Kuppet) Nyamira Branch until his death.
According to Lewis Nyakweba, Executive Secretary of Nyamira Kuppet, the deceased went to be with the Lord on Monday evening.
“Colleagues, Allow me with a very heavy heart to confirm the social media postings from all over concerning Our Vice-chairman, Brother Renson Mokaya. Our Brother has gone to Rest. Our prayers to the very young family. RIP BROTHER” stated Lewis Nyakweba, Executive Secretary, Kuppet, Nyamira.
He was involved in a horrific car accident.
KUPPET Secretary-General Akelo T. Misori wrote:
“We have this morning received the sad news about the death of Comrade Renson Mokaya who until his death was the Vice Chairman, KUPPET Nyamira County
“Mr. Renson Mokaya died Monday evening while undergoing treatment after getting involved in a road accident while travelling from school.
Since he joined KUPPET leadership, has been a serious dedicated servant of teachers, ever jovial, social and humorous.
Condolences to the family, relatives, friends and teachers of Nyamira County. RIP Renson Mokaya”
Those who knew Mokaya described him as firm and courageous in whatever he undertook as a person.
“Renson was a man with an impeccable character. His interest in politics got him elected on a landslide as the KUPPET NYAMIRA COUNTY Vice-Chairperson. Where he served teachers with utmost diligence and also serving the nation as a teacher.” Said Nelson Osiemo
