KRA Advertises 2023 Paid Internship for Diploma And Degree Graduates; How To Apply
On Tuesday, November 8, the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) announced a 12-month paid internship program for 2023.
As part of the government’s plan to create a pool of talented young people for the Kenyan job market, KRA put an ad on its website about opportunities for young people.
Applicants were requested to submit their applications no later than Sunday, November 27, if they were graduates.
“KRA is seeking applications from fresh Bachelor’s Degree and Diploma graduates for its January to December 2023 Internship Programme. Law degree holders pursuing the Advocates Training program (Pupils) at the Kenya School of Law are also eligible,” read the statement in part.
The interns will be assigned to various Support Services departments of the Authority, including but not limited to human resources, finance, communication, data analytics, and criminology, spanning various disciplines.
KRA will provide a Ksh15,000 monthly stipend, subject to statutory deductions. The tax collector said that applications would only be accepted online.
Moreover, only successful applicants will be needed to present personal and state documentation.
“Once selected, candidates will be required to submit proof of a valid Personal Accident Insurance Cover, Certificate of Good Conduct, Copies of KRA PIN Certificate, NHIF, NSSF, ID card and Bank Account Details,” the notice read in part.
Requirements for Application
Must be a Kenyan citizen between the ages of 20 and 35.
Must have graduated from an accredited institution with a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma between January 2022 and December 2022.
Must be available full-time for the duration of the twelve-month program.
After graduation, they should not have participated in any further internships or been exposed to job experience in their field of expertise.

Creating a profile
Register or establish an account on the KRA platform at https://erecruitment.kra.go.ke/login.
After registering, you will receive an email to validate your email address and complete your registration.
Key in the URL www(dot)kra(dot)go(dot)ke/careers.
Scroll to the bottom of the screen to the area titled “Open Career Opportunities.”
The internship opportunity is located in the first column of the table. Select “Apply Now”
The link will take you to KRA’s electronic recruitment website. To log in, enter your username and password.
The system will launch the applicant dashboard. Click the tab under ‘Candidate Profile.’
Click ‘My Profile’ to create and amend your profile, then click ‘Overview and Release’ to conclude.
Ensure you select the profile completion checkbox on the page.
Application method:
On the “Applicant Cockpit” page, click the tab titled “Employment Opportunities.”
Click the “Start” button under “Job Search” to view all available positions.
Click the Job posting to view the Internship position’s specifics.
To submit an application for the position, click the “Apply” button at the top of the page.
Follow the provided procedures to submit your application.

Click the ‘Send Application Now’ button after reviewing and approving the ‘Data Privacy Statement to finish the application process.
