KNUT, KUPPET Play Politics In Transnzoia

In Trans Nzoia County, the Kenya National Union of Teachers (knut) and the Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (kuppet) have endorsed George Natembeya’s governorship ambition.Due to his 26-year career in the civil service, union officials said they fully support the former Rift Valley commissioner.The authorities spoke during a Levoyage hotel consultative meeting on Saturday.They asked teachers to back Natembeya’s candidacy, led by Knut secretary George Wanjala and Kuppet treasurer Maxwell Nyangeri.“If the Azimio leader Raila Odinga and President uhuru Kenyatta have unanimously endorsed Natembeya, who are we to make a contrary opinion?” Wanjala asked.Wanjala stated that teachers have the democratic right to endorse anyone they wish.“The leadership of Knut wish to categorically state that teachers have no business supporting an establishment which cares less when it comes to their interests,” Wanjala said.He asked other experts to back Natembeya, whom they believe will help the county’s economy recover.Nyangeri stated that their union has also chosen to support Natembeya.He claims that teachers’ requirements can only be met if they collaborate with an aspirant who is best qualified to meet them.“We are not ready to be left out of government this time and we will not accept to remain in the losing team,” he said.Natembeya is the finest alternative, according to Kuppet assistant treasurer Janerose Mutama.She stated that their goal is for all residents to benefit from decentralization.Teachers fraternity in Trans Nzoia County led by Mr. Amboka, chair Principals, Jeany Mutama coordinating secretary KUPPET,Mr wanjala vice chairman KNUT, Mr Nyangeri maxwell kuppet,Mr walubengo Geofrey & Mary muthoni led teachers in fully endorsing Natembeya as next Governor“We are ready to partner with an administration that is ready to liberate this county from collapse.
