KNEC Guidelines on 2022 KCSE Administration of Oral and Practical Examination Papers
The oral and practical examination papers for the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) are scheduled to begin on November 21st and end on November 25th, 2022.
French (501), German (502), Arabic orals (503), Kenya sign language (504), Music Practical (511), and home science (441) are among the papers set to be done.
During the assessment, the center managers of the examination centers that offer these examination papers are expected to collect the question papers for the day as indicated on the question paper packet and return the candidates’ duly sealed scores to the Sub-County containers.
Security officers must accompany the center managers.
During the assessment, the security officers at the examination center will provide security and assist in ensuring that candidates who have not yet been assessed are confined in a room and do not interact with those who have completed their assessment.
Only one supervisor must be identified, nominated, and deployed in the examination center offering these papers when the oral and practical papers are administered.
The supervisor must coordinate with the centre manager to determine when the oral and practical exams will be held at the examination center.
Supervisor’s responsibilities during the assessment will be as follows:
Receiving examination materials from the center manager in one of the assessment rooms; passing examination materials to the assessor and signing the accountability documents; supervising the assessment of the oral and practical papers.
To avoid distracting the assessor and the candidates, the supervisor will not be allowed in the assessment room once the examination begins;
Confining candidates yet to take the assessment in a room where they cannot hear what is being assessed;
Ensuring candidates who complete the assessment leave the area and do not interact with the candidates who are yet to sit for the assessment.
Candidates should leave the examination center once the assessment is completed; collect a well-sealed envelope containing the candidate’s scores and hand it over to the center manager to be returned to the sub-county container, and sign all accountability documents provided.
During the assessment of (KCSE) Oral and Practical Examination Papers, invigilators are not permitted in the examination hall.
