Flora Mulatya, the head of Kenya High School, has been sent to Australia as an education attaché.

Mulatya was transferred from the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) to the Public Service Commission, where she will serve as Kenya’s educational representative in Australia.

The teacher confirmed that her new job was made possible by President William Ruto’s decision to restructure and re-establish state departments.

“I’m yet to move to Australia because there are processes that I must still take part in,” she confirmed.

She expressed her delight and appreciation to Ruto’s administration for the promotion.

Mulatya said she would miss her students, who she called “more or less my children.”

Irene Omangi, the Kenya High School’s Deputy Principal (administration), has since assumed school leadership.

Omangi is expected to lead the school until the arrival of the new Chief Principal, Virginia Wahome, as instructed by TSC.

Virginia currently serves as the head principal of Bishop Gatimu Ngandu Girls High School.

Mulatya has been the head of the school for more than eight years and has done a lot of good work.

Regarding the national KCSE test, Kenya High School is one of the best secondary schools in Kenya.

Mulatya stated, “The time has come for me to serve my country in a different capacity, and I am extremely grateful for this opportunity.”
