Top 8 Best Improved Schools in 2021 KCPE.
Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha announced the 2021 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results.
While noting that overall performance in this year’s exams had improved, the CS also noted that some schools had impressive growth in their mean score this year compared to 2020.
The following are the eight most improved schools in the previous eight provinces:
– Coast – Kambi ya Waya Primary School – achieved a mean score of 266 in 2018, up from 203 in 2020.
– Central – Njenga Karume Primary School – achieved a mean score of 248 in comparison to 207 in 2020.
– Eastern – Ngukuini Primary School – achieved a mean score of 250 points, compared to 165 in 2020.
– Nairobi – Cheleta Primary School – received 263 points as the mean score, up from 213 points the previous year.
– Rift Valley – Lenkishon Primary School – achieved a mean score of 272 points, up from 198 points the previous year.
– Western – Kewa DEB Primary School – received a mean score of 284 in this year’s exam, up from 216 last year.
– Nyanza – Nyangiti Primary School – received a mean score of 232 points, compared to 170 in 2020.
– North Eastern – Mandera DEB Primary School – received a mean score of 270 points, up from 181 the previous year.
Magoha expressed confidence in the exam’s transparency, dismissing any claims of exam malpractice.
“This year’s KCPE is the last examination being released under the Jubilee administration, a regime that has seen a six-year run of the cleanest and flawless national examination campaign,” he noted.Â
Candidates, parents, and guardians can view the results on the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) website, SMS platforms, county education offices, and individual schools.
To access the results via SMS, candidates should send their index number followed by the initials KCPE (in capital letters) to 20076.
