Govt Invites Unemployed Graduates For Paid Training Program; How to Apply
Through a government-sponsored program, unemployed Kenyans under the age of 35 now have the opportunity to earn a monthly income while gaining new skills.
The Competition Authority of Kenya (CAK) said on October 26 that it was looking for people to join the Young Professional Programme class of 2023. (YPP).
The program targets new graduates interested in gaining experience in the nation’s competitive law industry.
“The Young Professional Programme (YPP) to expose the participants to the Competition Policy and Law Enforcement with the objective of motivating and thereof deepening interest and capacity in this field.
“The authority invites applications from suitably qualified applicants for the calendar year 2023,” read the statement in part.
All successful applicants will be offered a stipend at the end of every month during the one-year training period.

Those who complete the program will be hired as permanent, pensionable government employees.
CAK stipulates that applicants must have a master’s degree in law, economics, or a business-related subject and be under 35 years of age.
Those who want to apply should send their resumes to [email protected] or by mail to the CAK director general.
The application must include the following:
- A cover letter.
- A complete curriculum vitae.
- A copy of the applicant’s national identification card.
- Professional and academic certifications.
- The names of three references.
If their applications are accepted, the applicants will have to show copies of certificates of clearance from the Kenya Revenue Authority, the Higher Education Loans Board, the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, the Criminal Investigations Department, and the Credit Reference Bureau.
Before getting a certificate, the successful candidates must write a paper on competition policy and law and serve under a one-year training contract.
The application period ends on November 7, 2022.
