“Extend School Calendar,” Parents Tell Magoha

Parents are advocating for the extension of the school calendar in order to provide adequate time for learning and preparation for national exams later in the year.

According to National Parents Association chairperson Nicholas Maiyo, the extension should compensate for the number of days lost during the electioneering period, allowing parents, teachers, and students to adequately prepare.

“The consequence of children staying at home longer is that their performance in exams is poor. We are asking for an equal number of days to those interfered with by the electoral period,” said Maiyo.
