MOPGA Scholarship Programme
MOPGA Scholarship Programme is designed to accommodate forty young researchers who aspire to conduct their study in France.
Campus France administers the program, which is supported by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs in partnership with the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research.

Scholarship Information:
As a key participant in the battle against climate change and guarantor of the spirit of the Paris Agreement, France is launching a new MOPGA visiting fellowship program to enhance scientific contributions to COPs-related climate change concerns.
The MOPGA 2023 Visiting Fellowship Program for Young Scholars will assist climate change-focused researchers.
Beginning in September 2023, 40 scholarships will be offered to promising young researchers over the course of one year.
Foreign students who meet the following requirements are eligible to apply:
- Possessing a doctorate for fewer than five years
- Being of alien nationality solely
- Not have lived in France after the 1st of September 2022 (for more than 90 days)
Note
A research stay agreement with the host institution will be negotiated between the institutions and the laureates, outlining in detail the resources made available by the laboratory for the researcher to conduct the research project.
Individuals that have the following qualifications may apply:
- Candidates who DO NOT possess French citizenship
- Foreign scholars with less than five years of doctoral experience (must have passed their thesis defense between December 2017 and January 2023)
- Researchers from abroad who have not resided in France since 1 September 2022 (for more than 90 days)
Scholarship Length and Benefit
This fellowship covers the benefits listed below:
- Allowance of €2,500 per month
- Relocation allowance of 500 euros
- Assistance for social security protection
- Support for medical coverage

- English CV containing a list of your publications (4 pages max)
- Ph.D. Diploma (or certificate of Ph.D. diploma)
- CV of your research advisor at the host institution in France (2 pages max)

2023 Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters
International students may submit applications to the European Commission for the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Scholarship.
International students who intend to pursue a master’s degree in Europe are awarded the entire amount of the scholarship.

Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters are graduate-level, interdisciplinary study programs. They are planned and provided by an international consortium of institutions of higher education (HEI). They feature at least three HEI from three distinct nations, of which at least two must be from EU Member States and third countries engaged with the Programme (previously called Programme Countries).
By funding these Master’s degrees that are mutually recognized, the EU intends to promote the excellence and internationalization of the member schools. There are also scholarships available for students to participate in these prestigious programs; the masters themselves provide them to the top-ranked applicants from throughout the world.
Scholarship Requirements:
To qualify for the Scholarship, you must:
- Have a bachelor’s degree (first degree) or be in your last year of bachelor studies and have graduated prior to the start of the master’s programme.
- Possess a transcript of academic records demonstrating fulfillment of the minimum requirements outlined below.
Scholarship Length and Benefit
The scholarship will be awarded for one to two academic years.
These scholarships cover the cost of a student’s participation in the program, as well as his or her travel and living expenses.
The fellowship provides a monthly stipend of €1400 to €1500.

2023 Open Doors Russian Scholarship Project
Depending on their chosen path, Olympiad winners will be eligible for free enrollment in the master’s or postgraduate programs of their preferred university.
During the Olympiad, participants in the doctorate track will be able to select a prospective research supervisor and conduct an interview with them.
Foreigners from ANY country, as well as compatriots permanently residing abroad and stateless individuals, may compete in the Olympiad.
In 2022, participants in the master’s track must hold a bachelor’s or specialist’s degree, or be in the process of earning one.
The doctorate program requires either a master’s or a specialist’s degree.

Scholarship Particulars:
The Olympiad is organized by The Association of Global Universities in conjunction with the Russian Federation’s Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Federal Agency for Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudichestvo).
The competition is for talented international students who wish to enroll for free in master’s and postgraduate degrees in Russia.
Winners of the Open Doors program receive free early admission to any Russian institution without having to take entrance exams.
Scholarship Requirements:
To be eligible for the scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:
The Olympiad is open to both foreigners and citizens permanently residing abroad.
In 2022, participants in the master’s track must hold a bachelor’s or specialist’s degree, or be in the process of earning one.
The doctorate program requires either a master’s or a specialist’s degree.
Both the master’s and doctorate programs involve two online rounds.
The initial round is a portfolio contest. Those who have been selected after the review of their portfolios are invited to participate in the second stage, which consists of a series of proctored online assessments.
Doctoral track includes one additional round consisting of a participant-selected interview with possible research mentors.
If the interview is successful, the participant selects a research advisor from the pool of individuals who gave them a passing grade.

The Russian Federation will cover the cost of your education.
You will solely be responsible for your travel, lodging, insurance, and personal expenses.

Note: Currently, ALL foreign students are permitted to enter Russia, but each university has its own rules regarding how to do so.
Also, if you apply to both Open Doors and Rossotrudnichestvo and are selected as a winner by both, you will have to pick between the two; receiving both is impossible.
2023 Geneviève McMillan-Reba Stewart Foundation Scholarship – France (Europe Scholarships For International Students)

The Geneviève McMillan-Reba Stewart Foundation Scholarship is a partnership between the Sciences Po American Foundation and the Geneviève McMillan-Reba Stewart Foundation to provide merit-based scholarships for access to France’s higher education system for meritorious students from sub-Saharan African nations.
This will be accomplished primarily through Sciences Po’s undergraduate Europe Africa program.

The Geneviève McMillan-Reba Stewart Foundation was founded in 2005 to accomplish the vision of its founder, the artist Geneviève McMillan (1922-2008), and to honor the life and work of her close friend, the artist Reba Stewart (1930-1971).
This fellowship honors McMillan’s dedication to the African continent.
Scholarship Requirements The Geneviève McMillan-Reba Stewart Foundation awards scholarships based on academic excellence, social criteria, and the following criteria:
Candidates must be citizens of a country in sub-Saharan Africa.
Candidates must have graduated from high school in a sub-Saharan African nation and be admitted into Sciences Po’s undergraduate Europe-Africa course.
Scholarship Length and Benefit
For the course of their undergraduate studies, successful applicants will receive a grant paying all Sciences Po tuition fees.
As social characteristics are also considered, an additional grant to cover living expenses may be provided.

The application deadline for the undergraduate program (applicants from international secondary schools) is February 22, 2023.
The application deadline for the first-year program (applicants from French secondary schools) is April 10, 2023.
Method of Application
Applicants must first submit an application to the Sciences Po undergraduate Europe-Africa program.
The Emile Boutmy scholarship application must be completed on Sciences Po’s Admissions website and include all required supporting materials.
Applications for the Geneviève McMillan-Reba Stewart Foundation Scholarship are due on the same date as those for the Emile Boutmy Scholarship.
