Best Grades Not From Kisii,Machogu Reveals Schools That Performed Better Than Nyambaria School

Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu has recently revealed some of the top schools in the 2022 KCSE exams.

He was quick to dismiss any reports claiming that Nyambaria National School from Nyamira County had the highest number of A grades.

According to statistics from the Kenya National Examinations Council, Mang’u High School from Kiambu came out on top with 82 A grades.

Following close behind was Alliance High with 72 A grades, Maranda with 68 A grades, and Kapsabet Boys with 52 A grades.

Nyambaria National School has come under scrutiny with critics questioning its results.

However, to clear up any confusion, Machogu also revealed that Siaya was the top county with the highest number of A grades in Nyanza, followed by Migori with 66 A grades, Kisumu with 59 A grades, and Kisii with 50 A grades. Nyamira recorded 31 A grades.

On Friday, Machogu attributed the good performance of Nyambaria High School to the school’s leadership.

He stated, “If ranking was done the area where I come from would rank 36 and Nyamira would be almost 40.”
