Autopsy: Grade 2 Pupil Was Sodomised Then Choked to Death

Emmanuel Kimtai, a 12-year-old boy, was found dead in Koilel area in Ainabkoi constituency on March 23.

An autopsy has since revealed that he was sodomized before being choked to death. Eric Kiptoo Kipsang is a key suspect in the murder case, and it is alleged that he dropped the body and sped off to his home in Kapsoya, Eldoret town before fleeing.

Following a manhunt, Kiptoo was later arrested by police officers, after which he complained of chest pains and was taken to the hospital. On Sunday, March 26, he was pronounced dead.

Ainabkoi OCPD Alois Muthoka reported that Kiptoo attempted suicide at a nearby dam and appeared to be under the influence of drugs.

Upon his arrival at the police station, he had deep cuts on both hands. Meanwhile, the minor’s family has begun funeral plans and has requested philanthropists and the government’s help, given that the boy’s mother is incapacitated.

This disturbing incident highlights the vulnerability of minors to sexual assault and violence. It is disheartening to see that young children are subjected to such heinous acts.

This case also demonstrates the importance of timely police action and apprehension of suspects in cases of violence.
