3 Internship Evidence To Be Produced By Teachers During TSC Interviews

The Teachers Service Commission will award 30 Marks to serving interns in this month’s recruitment exercise, unlike last year where interns were awarded 10 marks.

However, interns must provide evidence of internship to be awarded the 30 marks. 

Evidence Required by Senior interns

Senior interns were contracted in December 2019 and started working in 2020 January.

Following the interruption contract between TSC and the interns by the Covid-19, the teachers’ employer decided to prolong their contract by one year which is expected to end in December this year.

The teachers’ employer had pledged to award the interns with certificates of internship however up to date, they have not got any.

During the recruitment/replacement interviews, they will be required to present the following evidence in order to be awarded 30 marks as indicated in the recruitment score sheet.

1. Three Payslips for 2020 and three for 2021.

2. A letter from the institution where you were interned.

3. A letter from the County Director of Education detailing when you were contracted.

Evidence required by Junior interns

1. Payslips for the 2020 internship, (Three of them, all original)
2. A Letter from the school where you were interned
3. A Letter from the County Director of Education showing the date when you were contracted.

All these documents will serve as proof for internship and any intern who will miss any of the above-mentioned documents will face a tough battle with the rest of the unemployed teachers.
